St. Anne's, Lytham and Poulton all in one day! :D

Another a lovely sunny day, perfect for us to be going out with our camera's a little bit of spending money! We set off to St.Anne's and Lytham for a nice scenic walk round and to hit some shops! A long sunny drive lead us straight to 'The Pier Café' and an adorable little sweet and ice cream shop and well it would be rude not to enjoy an ice cream on such a lovely day! We got our ice creams and started our stroll down the promenade enjoying the sunny beach view!

Mint chocolate chip was on my agenda for today! Mmm yummy!

We couldn't have asked for a better view whilst enjoying our ice creams on a nice bench. Beautiful cloud formation with blue skies patched about and glorious sunlight flooding the beach!

Really could NOT get enough of these clouds! How dramatic is this sky!

We then walked all the way around viewing the flower gardens, fountains, fair grounds and shops but my mum, nana and I all fell in love with an unusual shop which was actually inside of an old train!

We made a quick route towards the old train shop to find lovely little things inside, colourful things and sparkly things and all at brilliantly tempting prices!

It really was marvelous inside! Everything imaginable for gifts, souvenirs, trinkets, jewelry and some quiet unusual things!

My eye was most definitely drawn straight to this beautiful array of coloured bracelets! Too many designs and too many colours to chose from but I eventually after a good while of picking on up and putting one down I finally left with three new bracelets! :D I could have picked more but my arms are well and truly getting too full with all the little bracelets I keep adding to my collection!

We left the little shop on a train and had a nice little sit down to rest our legs and enjoy a cold drink and of course what is a day trip out without a cake or a treat?!

We sat in the adorably quirky Pier Café with mismatching furniture and home-like decor and went to pick our treats!

With tonnes of scones, cakes, and delicious sandwiches to choose from the giant chocolate eclairs just had to have the deciding vote from me... HOW could I not try and defeat of of those beasts! A foot-long Eclair?!...Yes please! :D

I was defeated :(....

This was the marvelous view we had whilst sitting and enjoying our humongous cakes!

After enjoying ourselves St. Anne's we then took off up the roads to get a quick scenic treat of Lytham and the beautiful windmill...

Post card worthy settings and dramatic cloud formations fluffing up the blue skies!

There is always something quite mysterious about a lone bench along with a lone lamp post... add a sky full of tonal clouds and you have yourself a wonderful and eerie landscape!

Snapped a quick photo of this amazing glass sculpture on the way into Poulton while stopped at a traffic light! The sun was gleaming off it and it just looked so pretty!

We ended our day with a spot of shopping in sunny Poulton. Colourful bunting was strung up all along the town's square from lamp post to lamp post to tree to tree! Gotta love some colourful bunting! :D

Our day came to an end as we said goodbye to Poulton and headed back to the car for a very tired but happy drive back to Manchester! We will definitely be visiting there again sometime soon!
