OPEN - Final 2nd year Uni Project!

Experimenting with not only my own style but exploring into other artists’ worlds and looking deeper into how they photograph, why they photograph what the do etc. has given more inspiration and creativity than I could ever have asked for...
I wanted to create 20 images that link together with unity whilst still holding onto that rarity that Catherine Opie has taught me by being individual yet connected. The three projects that I have created are exactly how I see the world. Feminism is the current uproar or social controversy and by exploring into three very different areas of positive female empowerment I believe that the three contrasting results have created something far more meaningful to myself as it shows us just how different we can look on the outside but that does not control the amount of fire within ourselves to stand up for what we believe is right.
By exploring into culture, attitude and body image I now come away from these projects more aware on just how much women have been through, how much we have had to fight for, what we are still fighting for and just how powerful we really are.
